FAQs

you may have some questions

How are you different from other designers?

I am collaborative designer. I believe the best designs happen through working together to understand the options and goal of the design so that we are both pleased with the outcome. I can just design your project on my own, but I have found working together on the design helps us both think though it more thoroughly and come up with a better solution than we would have been able to accomplish on our own.

Will my project be a good fit for you?

Yes, if you are excited about working together to achieve a design that meets your goals and trust me to guide us through the process. Any collaborative partnerships play to my strengths. If, on the other hand, you have absolutely no design direction in mind and don’t want to work though the design process with me, I can work on your project solo if desired.

I live in another state/country, is that a problem?

Not a problem at all. I have worked with clients for years before ever being able to meet them in person and some clients I still have never met in person. Because of this, my process has actually been built built around remote working situations and it is where I excel. On the other hand, if you do feel more comfortable and would desire an in person meeting, I am The Traveling Designer for a reason and we can discuss an in person meeting and costs associated with that if desired.

How do I book you?

Once we agree on a project rate, I typically ask for a 50% down payment to get the project started. Please note that my scheduled is typically booked two to three weeks out, but, if desired, rush may be possible at an additional fee.

How long is your turn around time?

I can typically get options, designs, etc back to you within two days after the initial research phase is completed. Many times I can do it quicker, but it will be between 1 and four days for most projects.
